In this paper, the author draws readers’ attention to the role of the unconscious. It is a matter of fact that the unconscious is strictly connected with the Freudian psychoanalysis and its discoveries. That was Freud who made of the unconscious the most important element of psychoanalytical experience. Following the analyses of Paul Ricœur, the author put together this central psychoanalytical discovery with the main elements of the phenomenology. Initiated by Husserl phenomenology, it operates in its various forms mostly in the field of consciousness. As a result, the unconscious appears to be a limit experience for Husserlian phenomenology.
