Text analyses the creation of "desire" in "Nikkatsu Noir" series, which is noticeably inspired by American and French Noir Cinema. Studying this creation of 50’s and 60’s allows the author to show the influence of the western culture. The paintings related to "Nikkatsu Noir" series (Isolde Standish, Jasper Sharp) show the process of creating a new personal identity by inhabitants of the big agglomerations. The city presents characteristic features of the place where no one can adjust to new reality after 1945. The fascination of American and French "Noir Cinema" led to major change of approach towards body, sexuality and traditional values. Analysis of one of the movies from this series ("Koroshi no Rakuin") proves how sociocultural reality is reflected in the creation of "femme fatale".
