Relations between State and Church in Poland between 1945-1950 based on selected titles of the press

Tematem pracy są relacje między państwem, w rozumieniu rządu polskiego, a Kościołem katolickim w Polsce w latach 1945-1950.Praca została podzielona na osiem krótkich rozdziałów, z których pierwszy opisuje laicyzację szkolnictwa polskiego, przy uwzględnieniu kwestii podjęcia próby przez władze do przejęcia wpływu nad młodzieżą polską. Rozdział drugi koncentruje się wokół problematyki zerwania, anulowania, bądź wypowiedzenia konkordatu z 10 II 1925 r. przez rząd polski, lub jak uważały władze Stolicę Apostolską. W rozdziale trzecim przedstawiłam „Kontrowersje wokół dekretu o nowym prawie małżeńskim” z dnia 25 IX 1945 r. Rozdział czwarty stanowi próbę ujęcia sposobu w jaki czasopisma konstruowały narrację na temat papieża Piusa XII i jego stosunku do wydarzeń mających miejsce w Europie w latach 1939-1945. Rozdział ten chronologicznie nie jest dopasowany do konwencji pracy, ale zakres problematyczny jego tematyki wpisuje się w główne problemy powstałe między rządem polskim, a Kościołem katolickim. W rozdziale piątym zatytułowanym „Inne kwestie dotyczące stosunków na linii państwo-Kościół” przedstawiłam krótko obraz trzech kwestii: reformy rolnej i związanym z nią atakiem na Kościół, problematyki spojrzenia episkopatu polskiego na referendum ludowe z 1946 r. i wybory do Sejmu Ustawodawczego z 1947 r., oraz zagadnienie według mnie bardzo istotne – relacji między marksizmem, a doktryną chrześcijańską. Rozdział szósty został przedstawiony na zasadzie kontrastu. Przedstawiony w nim został nakreślony przez propagandę stosunek do „księży-reakcjonistów” i „księży-patriotów”. Rozdział siódmy charakteryzuje problem posiadania przez Kościół polski swobód religijnych, natomiast ostatni rozdział pracy traktuje o zawartym w 1950 r. porozumieniu między państwem, a Kościołem.

The aim of the is the relationship between the state, within the meaning of the Polish government and the Catholic Church in Poland in 1945-1950. Thesis was divided into eight short chapters. The first one describes the secularisation of Polish schools. The second chapter focuses on the issue of severance, cancellation, or termination of the Concordat of February 10, 1925 by the Polish government or the Holy See. The third chapter presents the "controversy over the decree about the new law marriage" of 25 September 1945, the fourth chapter is an attempt to approach the way in which newspapers construct a narrative about Pope Pius XII and his relation to the events taking place in Europe in 1939-1945 . This section does not fit chronologically into the thesis, but the scope of its problematic issues is part of the main problems arising between the Polish government and the Catholic Church. In the fifth chapter entitled "Other matters concerning the relations between the state-church" image briefly described the three issues: land reform and the related attack on the church, the aspects of the Polish episcopate relation to the Polish people's referendum of 1946 and election of the Polish Parliament in 1947 ., and the problem I think is very important - the relationship between Marxism and Christian doctrine. The sixth chapter is presented by way of contrast. Presented in it was outlined by the propaganda value to the "priest-reactionaries" and "priest-patriots." Chapter Seven is characterized by the problem of the Polish Church to have religious freedom, while the last chapter deals with the work contained in the 1950 agreement between the State and the Church.
