niniejszej pracy przedstawiam jakie rodzaje metafory są obecne w węgierskich igekötő feloraz le-. Pracę oparłam na gruncie językoznawstwa kognitywnego oraz jego założeniach dotyczących metafor pojęciowych. Powstawanie metafor jest ściśle związane z ludzkim doświadczeniem cielesnym. Jeśli chodzi konkretnie o metafory obecne w fel- i le- ważną rolę również odgrywają uwarunkowania kulturowe: GÓRA jest tożsama z DOBREM (choć nie we wszystkich przypadkach), a DÓŁ ze ZŁEM. Pomijając podstawową rolę igekötő – wskazywanie ukierunkowania czynności – analizuję w jaki sposób językowo konceptualizujemy wyrażenia zawierające igekötő fel- oraz le-. Do kilku wybranych wyrażeń szczegółowo przedstawiam możliwe opcje interpretacyjne, co mogło doprowadzić do właśnie takiego wyboru igekötő jako przedstawiciela metafory.

In this paper I will investigate, what kind of metaphors could be found in the Hungarian igekötő fel- and le-. The paper is based on the cognitive linguistics and its foundations for conceptual metaphor. The formation of metaphors is closely related to the body experience. When it comes to the metaphors present in the fel- and le- igekötő, an essential part in their generation play the cultural conditions: UP is identified with THE GOOD (not in every case though), whereas DOWN is linked to THE BAD. I don’t focus too much on the major role of igekötő – the marking of the activity’s direction – but instead I analize the way we conceptualize the expressions with the said igekötő. To a few chosen expressions I will give a detailed explanation on what could have lead to the choice of a particular igekötő as a holder of the metaphor.
