Model of nursing care for people treated with chemotheraphy

Tematem niniejszej pracy jest przedstawienie modelu opieki pielęgniarskiej nad pacjentem leczonym chemioterapią, natomiast celem rozpoznanie problemów zdrowotnych oraz wskazanie sposobu ich rozwiązania. Opracowany model opieki oparty na teorii D. Orem ma na celu usprawnić pracę pielęgniarek opiekujących się pacjentami, u których zastosowano tę metodę leczenia. Praca składa się z trzech części. W pierwszej części przedstawiono kliniczną charakterystykę nowotworów: definicje, podział, epidemiologię, etiologię i czynniki ryzyka, a także etapy rozwoju procesu nowotworowego, główne objawy, diagnostykę, sposoby leczenia i profilaktykę. W części drugiej omówiono definicję, rodzaje, drogi podawania, zasady stosowania chemioterapii. Przedstawiono także środki farmakologiczne i zasady ich sporządzania oraz przygotowanie pacjenta do terapii. W części trzeciej- metodologii badań własnych przedstawiono cel i problemy badawcze, materiał i metody. Omówiono założenia modelu opieki według teorii D. Orem. Przedstawiono 16 najczęściej występujących problemów zdrowotnych i sposoby ich rozwiązania. Na końcu zamieszczono podsumowanie i wnioski, piśmiennictwo, spis rycin i tabel, wykaz skrótów oraz aneks.

The subject of his master thesis is to present the nursing care for people treated with chemotherapy; the aim is to recognize the health problems and to indicate the methods of solution. The model of care based on D. Orems theory is to improve the work of nurses who take care of patients who were applied with this treatment. The thesis consists of three parts. In the first part was presented the clinical characteristics of tumours: definitions, division, epidemiology, etiology and the risks factors and also the stages of tumours development, main symptoms, diagnosis, ways of treatment and preventive measures. In the second part was discussed the definition, the ways of administration and the rules of the chemotherapy usage. There were also presented the pharmacological measures and principles of their preparation and patients preparation for the treatment. In the third part that is the methodology of authors own research, was presented the aim, research problems, material and methods. Model of care based on D. Orem`s theory was discussed. Sixteen the most often appearing problems and the methods of their solutions were presented. At the end was placed the summary and conclusions, official opinions, literature, the list of drawings and charts, the list of abbreviations and annex.
