This thesis aims to examine the importance of foreign direct investments and its impact on the economic growth, with Thailand as a chosen economy for the study. The thesis consists of three chapters. The first chapter is a theoretical explanation of foreign direct investment and its trend in the modern market, alongside with its observed benefits and detriments for the host country. The second chapter is an overview of Thailand’s economy and its strengths and weaknesses that influence its attractiveness to foreign investors. The final chapter is an evaluation of foreign direct investment and the impacts that it has on Thailand.
