Praca ma na celu przedstawić zjawisko patostreamingu i jego fenomen. Przedstawiając początki zjawiska streamingu pokazuje, skąd wywodzi się zjawisko patostreamingu, jaka jest jego skala oraz jakie mogą być jego społeczne konsekwencje. Praca stanowi zestawienie dotychczasowych opracowań naukowych na temat patostreamingu poszerzone o własne badania na próbie ogólnopolskiej. Pokazuje jak duża jest świadomość zjawiska i odpowiada na pytanie dlaczego tego typu transmisje są tak popularne.

The aim of the work is to present the phenomenon of pathostreaming. By presenting the origins of the streaming phenomenon, he shows where the pathostreaming phenomenon originated from, what is its scale and what its social consequences may be. The work is a compilation of previous scientific studies on pathostreaming, extended with own research on a nationwide sample. It shows how big is the awareness of the phenomenon and answers the question why this type of broadcast is so popular.
