Humor w filmach Woody’ego Allena: analiza pragmatyczna

Moja praca magisterska traktuje o pragmatycznym ujęciu humoru obecnego w filmach Woody’ego Allena. Cztery filmy zostały wybrane do analizy, a mianowicie "Annie Hall", "Purpurowa Róża z Kairu", "Hannah i Jej Siostry" oraz "O Północy w Paryżu". Celem pracy jest analiza humoru przedstawionego w wyżej wymienionych filmach pod kątem lingwistycznym. Badane w niej jest, czy zagadnienia z zakresu pragmatyki takie jak implicatures, presuppositions oraz Semantic Script Theory of Humour Victora Raskina mogą być uzasadnieniem występowania humoru w poszczególnych wypowiedziach. Na materiał badawczy składają się teksty scenariuszy filmów. Przedstawione są stosowne fragmenty oraz zaznaczona jest obecność wyżej wspomnianych zjawisk pragmatycznych. Tekst niniejszej pracy zakończony jest podsumowaniem i opisem wniosków, wynikających z analizy przykładów.

My master thesis deals with the pragmatic approach to humour presented in Woody Allen’s films. The analysis is based on four films: "Annie Hall", "The Purple Rose of Cairo", "Hannah and Her Sisters" and "Midnight in Paris". As the aim of the thesis is to analyse the humour in terms of linguistics, implicatures, presuppositions and Raskin’s Semantic Script Theory of Humour are explored in order to prove that they apply to generating humour and provoking laughter in the films selected. Scripts of the films constitute the research material. The presence of a particular pragmatic notion that generated humour is marked in film characters’ utterances. The thesis is summed up with the conclusion that was drawn from the analysing process. The relations and regularities that were observed while exploring the extracts from the scripts are stressed in the conclusions.
