Interaction between image and text on the basis of selected comics

Żyjemy w czasach, gdzie środki masowego przekazu są wszechobecne w życiu człowieka. Dlatego też ich wpływ, zalety oraz wady są szeroko omawiane i badane. Podczas gdy prasa, telewizja oraz internet już dawno zostały zaakceptowane i postrzegane są raczej pozytywnie, wciąż istnieją media, których wartość jest kwestionowana. Jednym z nich jest komiks. Niemal od początki swojego istnienia wywołuje on wiele kontrowersji i kwestii spornych dotyczących zarówno jego strony graficznej, jak i językowej. Niniejsza praca jest próbą udzielenia odpowiedzi na pytanie, czy komiksy też mogą być tekstami, próbą zbadania interakcji obrazu i tekstu obecnych w komiksie, a także przybliżenia charakteru tego medium.

We live in times of pervasiveness of mass media in our lives. That is why their influence, pros and cons are widely discussed and studied. While the press, the television or the Internet have already been accepted and are perceived rather positively, there are still media, which value is being questioned. One of them is the comic. Almost from the very beginning of its existence, the comic generates controversy and disputes about its graphic and linguistic side. The main aim of this thesis is to:- answer the question whether comics can also be perceived as texts or not,- analyse the image-text interaction- explain the characteristics of the medium.

Wir leben in den Zeiten der Allgegenwärtigkeit der Massenmedien im unseren Leben. Deren Einfluss, Vor- und Nachteile werden deshalb weitläufig besprochen und untersucht. Während die Presse, das Fernsehen oder das Internet schon seit langer Zeit akzeptiert und eher positiv wahrgenommen werden, gibt es noch solche, deren Wert in Frage gestellt wird. Ein von solchen Medien ist der Comic. Fast von Anfang seiner Existenz löst er viele Kontroverse und strittige Fragen aus, die sowohl seine grafische als auch sprachliche Seite betreffen. Die Ziele dieser Arbeit sind:- die Frage zu beantworten, ob Comics auch Texte sein können,- die Bild-Text-Interaktion im Comic zu untersuchen - den Charakter des Mediums näherzubringen.
