Rzeszów as a „smart city” – smart solutions in the city

Idea inteligentnego miasta jest jedną z odpowiedzi na problem rosnącej liczby ludności. Istnieje wiele badań i dokładnych teorii wyjaśniających znaczenie pojęcia smart city. Głównym aspektem jest połączenie innowacyjnych technologii z poprawą komfortu życia mieszkańców. Warto zwrócić uwagę na rozwój koncepcji od smart city 1.0, smart city 2.0 i aktualnej smart city 3.0, w której główną rolę grają mieszkańcy. W pracy zostały omówione kryteria inteligentnej gospodarki, mobilności, środowiska, jakości życia, ludzi i zarządzania miastem. Ukazane zostało również, jak na przestrzeni dziesięciu lat rozwinął się Rzeszów i jakie inteligentne rozwiązania możemy spotkać w mieście. Zostały przeprowadzone badania ankietowe, które pokazują, w jaki sposób rzeszowianie oceniają miasto i jaki jest ich stosunek do nowych rozwiązań. Dodatkowo zostały opisane plany rozwoju Rzeszowa oraz przyszłe inwestycje.

The idea of a smart city is one of the answers to the problem of a growing population. There are many studies and thorough theories explaining the meaning of the concept of smart city. The main aspect is the combination of innovative technologies with the improvement of the residents' quality of life. It is worth paying attention to the development of concepts from smart city 1.0, smart city 2.0 and the current smart city 3.0, in which residents play the main role. The paper discusses the criteria of smart economy, mobility, environment, quality of life, people and city management. It also showed how Rzeszów has developed over the past ten years and what smart solutions can be found in the city. A survey was carried out, which shows how the inhabitants of Rzeszów evaluate the city and what is their attitude to new solutions. Additionally, Rzeszów's development plans and future investments have been described.
