The role of the State Fire Service in ensuring the security of the Republic of Poland in the years 1992-2025

Rola Państwowej Straży Pożarnej w zapewnieniu bezpieczeństwa Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej w latach 1991–2025 jest znacząca ze względu na wagę bezpieczeństwa narodowego dla państwa polskiego. Jako wiodąca formacja wśród jednostek ochrony przeciwpożarowej w Polsce, Państwowa Straż Pożarna stanowi jeden z fundamentalnych elementów bezpieczeństwa narodowego, udzielając szybkiej, profesjonalnej i nieocenionej pomocy w przypadku pożarów, miejscowych zagrożeń, a także innych klęsk żywiołowych i zdarzeń występujących na terenie kraju. Ponadto istotną rolę odgrywa szeroko zakrojona współpraca międzynarodowa służb, w której strażacy Państwowej Straży Pożarnej uczestniczą poprzez działania i szkolenia poza granicami kraju, zapewniając ciągły rozwój edukacyjny i podnoszenie zarówno umiejętności polskich strażaków, jak i potencjału całej formacji.

The role of the State Fire Service in ensuring the security of the Republic of Poland in the years 1991–2025 is significant due to the importance of national security for the Polish state. As the leading formation among fire protection units in Poland, the State Fire Service constitutes one of the fundamental elements of national security, providing rapid, professional, and invaluable assistance in the event of fires, local hazards, as well as other natural disasters and incidents occurring within the country. In addition, an important role is played by the extensive international cooperation of services, in which State Fire Service firefighters participate through operations and training abroad, ensuring continuous educational development and the enhancement of both the skills of Polish firefighters and the capacity of the entire formation.
