Analysis of the socio-cultural integration of immigrants from MENAPT countries in Denmark

W tej pracy skupiam się na analizie społecznego oraz kulturowo-tożsamościowego wymiaru integracji imigrantów z krajów MENAPT w Danii. Ze względu na duże różnice kulturowe, społeczne i religijne pomiędzy społeczeństwem duńskim a osobami z obszaru MENAPT, które niewątpliwie wpływają na przebieg integracji pod wieloma względami, ważne jest zbadanie tego tematu. Oba te wymiary integracji stanowią podstawę dla udanej integracji, bo są ważnym środkiem wspierającym inne jej obszary, takie jak: ekonomiczny, prawno-instytucjonalny, ale też przestrzenny. Integracja kulturowa pod tym względem szczególnie pomaga w osiągnięciu poczucia spójności społecznej w państwie, co może wpływać na zmniejszenie zachowań ksenofobicznych i rasistowskich w społeczeństwie. Dodatkowo w tej pracy poruszam również kwestię dyskryminacji osób pochodzących z obszaru MENAPT w Danii oraz przedstawiam historyczno-prawny kontekst migracji w tym kraju.

This paper focuses on the analysis of the social and cultural-identity dimension of the integration of immigrants from MENAPT countries in Denmark. Due to the large cultural, social and religious differences between Danish society and migrants from the MENAPT area, which undoubtedly affect the integration process in various ways, it is important to examine this topic. Both of these dimensions of integration constitute the basis for successful integration, because they play an important role in supporting other areas of integration, such as: economic, legal-institutional, but also spatial. In particular, cultural integration contributes to achieving a sense of social cohesion in the country, which can reduce xenophobic and racist behaviour in society. Additionally, this paper addresses the issue of discrimination against migrants from the MENAPT area in Denmark and presents the historical and legal context of migration in this country.
