Ciemna strona globalizacji. Międzynarodowa przestępczość zorganizowana i współpraca włoskich mafii z meksykańskimi kartelami

Niniejsza praca bada współpracę transnarodową między włoską mafią a głównymi kartelami meksykańskimi, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem ’Ndranghety i kartelu z Sinaloa. Omówiono interesy oraz zasady działania obu organizacji przestępczych ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem ich współpracy w międzynarodowym handlu narkotykami. Celem pracy nie jest porównanie dwóch modeli przestępczych jako takich, lecz opisanie ich współpracy rozwijającej się w kontekście postępującej globalizacji. Jednocześnie praca ma na celu ocenę strategii obecnie stosowanych w celu skutecznego przeciwdziałania tej współpracy. Punkt wyjścia pracy stanowi omówienie różnych rodzajów organizacji przestępczych i wskazanie cech charakterystycznych mafii. W pracy zrekonstruowane zostały również historyczne i strategiczne przemiany przestępczości zorganizowanej we Włoszech i Meksyku. Omówiono również działania podejmowane przeciwko międzynarodowej współpracy środowisk przestępczych. W tym kontekście sugeruje się bardziej skoordynowane działania, które mogłyby opierać się na włoskim modelu walki z mafią.

This thesis explores the transnational cooperation between the Italian Mafia and major Mexican cartels, with particular attention to the ’Ndrangheta and the Sinaloa cartel as the leading representatives of their respective criminal landscapes. The research initially focuses on operational methods, later shifting to shared interests and the channels through which these criminal organizations collaborate in international drug trafficking. The ultimate aim is not to compare two criminal models per se, but rather to understand what drives their alliance and interaction, which have developed in an increasingly globalized context. Likewise, the study seeks to assess the strategies currently in place to effectively, or ineffectively, counter this collaboration.Starting with the definition of the Mafia as a distinct form of criminal power, the thesis reconstructs the historical and strategic transformations of organized crime in both countries, highlighting the core of the study: the concreteness of joint operations. These are examined through judicial investigations, shared trafficking routes, and strategic points of convergence. The analysis then highlights the limitations of institutional responses and the cases of ineffective judicial cooperation between Italy and Mexico.The thesis concludes with proposals to strengthen the international response, as the fight against organized crime still lacks a unified approach. It suggests a more integrated action that could follow the Italian model of anti-Mafia efforts, combining repression with diplomacy and preventive measures on a global scale.
