Wstęp: W pracy przedstawiono obecny stan wiedzy na temat wady wrodzonej – colobomy tęczówki, w tym metody diagnostyki i różnicowania oraz możliwe sposoby leczenia. Następnie przytoczono definicję i epidemiologię wcześniactwa, czynniki ryzyka jego występowania, związane z nim powikłania oraz rokowania na dalszą jakość życia pacjentów. Cel pracy: Celem pracy było ukazanie wielowymiarowości opieki pielęgniarsko-położniczej nad wcześniakiem z wadą wrodzoną, obejmującą zarówno pacjenta, jak i jego rodzinę, występujących problemów opiekuńczych i zastosowanych wobec nich interwencji. Materiał i metody: Metodą badania był opis przypadku opracowany na podstawie analizy dokumentacji medycznej pacjenta hospitalizowanego na oddziale intensywnej terapii noworodka. Wyniki: Przedstawiono stan pacjenta po urodzeniu i przebieg hospitalizacji. Zidentyfikowano główne diagnozy pielęgniarsko-położnicze, przedstawiono do nich zastosowane interwencje i dokonano ewaluacji rezultatów. Wnioski: We wnioskach pracy podkreślono znaczenie interdyscyplinarnej współpracy zespołu medycznego w opiece nad wcześniakiem z wadą wrodzoną, uwzględniającej zarówno aspekty medyczne, jak i psychologiczne.

Introduction: This thesis presents the current state of knowledge regarding a congenital defect – iris coloboma, including diagnostic methods, differential diagnosis, and possible treatment options. It also outlines the definition and epidemiology of prematurity, its risk factors, associated complications, and the prognosis for the patient's future quality of life. Aim of the study: The aim of the study was to highlight the multidimensional nature of nursing and midwifery care for a premature infant with a congenital defect. The focus was on both the patient and the family, identifying care-related problems and the interventions implemented in response. Material and methods: The research method was a case study based on the analysis of the medical records of a patient hospitalized in a neonatal intensive care unit. Results: The patient's condition after birth and the course of hospitalization were presented. Key nursing and midwifery diagnoses were identified, the corresponding interventions were described, and their outcomes were evaluated. Conclusions: The conclusions emphasize the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration within the medical team in the care of a premature infant with a congenital defect, taking into account both medical and psychological aspects.
