As the translator of most of Erich Maria Remarque’s texts, Ryszard Wojnakowski is considered to be the Polish voice of the author from Osnabrück in Germany. The article gives a brief introduction to Wojnakowski’s work as a translator, but the main focus is a conversation with the translator about his path to Remarque and his view of Remarque’s texts.

Als Übersetzer der meisten Texte Erich Maria Remarques gilt Ryszard Wojnakowski als die polnische Stimme dieses aus Osnabrück stammenden Autors. Der Beitrag stellt kurz die übersetzerische Leistung Wojnakowskis vor, im Mittelpunkt steht aber das Gespräch mit dem Translator über seinen Weg zu Remarque und seine Sicht auf dessen Texte.
