Rozprawa doktorska pt. Stille Perturbationen. (Kon)Figurationen der Instabilitäten im Schaffen Judith Hermanns (Ciche perturbacje. Kreacje i konfiguracje niestabilności w twórczości Judith Hermann) poświęcona jest krótkiej prozie współczesnej niemieckiej autorki Judith Hermann (ur. 1970), reprezentującej nurt „Fräuleinwunder“. Teksty Hermann skupiają się na charakterystycznych dla jej pokolenia problemach egzystencjalnych. Na korpus jej pracy składają się cztery tomy opowiadań: Sommerhaus, später (1998), Nichts als Gespenster (2003), Alice (2009) i Lettipark (2016). W pracy wykorzystana jest teoria systemów społecznych niemieckiego socjologa Niklasa Luhmanna, który w centrum swojej refleksji umieszcza eksponowane również w tekstach Hermann zjawisko „komunikacji“. W kategoriach socjologicznych rozważane są zaburzenia komunikacji międzyludzkiej we współczesnym niestabilnym świecie. Szczególna uwaga poświęcona jest kwestii, jak na (kon)figuracje wpływają perturbacje, czyli dodatkowe czynniki zaburzające już i tak niestabilne relacje, takie jak choroba, utrata i inne. Dotychczasowe badania nad współczesną literaturą uwzględniają taką tematykę jedynie marginalnie. Stosowane przez Judith Hermann strategie minimalizmu przyczyniają się do kreowania literackich portretów bohaterów zagubionych we współczesności.

The doctoral dissertation entitled Stille Perturbationen. (Kon)Figurationen der Instabilitäten im Schaffen Judith Hermanns (Silent Perturbations. Creations and configurations of instability in the work of Judith Hermann) is devoted to the short prose of the contemporary German author Judith Hermann (born 1970), representing the “Fräuleinwunder” current. Hermann’s texts focus on existential issues characteristic of her generation. The body of her work consists of four volumes of short stories: Sommerhaus, später (1998), Nichts als Gespenster (2003), Alice (2009) and Lettipark (2016). The work draws on the social systems theory of the German sociologist Niklas Luhmann, who places the phenomenon of “communication”, also highlighted in Hermann’s texts, at the centre of his reflection. In sociological terms, the disruption of human communication in today’s unstable world is taken into account. Particular attention is devoted to the question of how (con)figurations are affected by perturbations, i.e. additional factors that disrupt already unstable relationships, such as illness, loss and so on. To date, research on contemporary literature only marginally considers such topics. Judith Hermann’s use of minimalist strategies contributes to the creation of literary portraits of characters lost in modernity.

Die Dissertation mit dem Titel Stille Perturbationen. (Kon)Figurationen der Instabilitäten im Schaffen Judith Hermanns widmet sich der Kurzprosa der deutschen Gegenwartsautorin Judith Hermann (geb.1970), einer Vertreterin der Strömung „Fräuleinwunder“. Hermanns Texte befassen sich mit existenziellen Fragen, die für ihre Generation charakteristisch sind. Das Gesamtwerk der Autorin besteht aus vier Erzählbänden: Sommerhaus, später (1998), Nichts als Gespenster (2003), Alice (2009) i Lettipark (2016). Hermanns Werk stützt sich auf die Theorie sozialer Systeme des deutschen Soziologen Niklas Luhmann, der das auch in Hermanns Texten exponierte Phänomen der „Kommunikation“ in den Mittelpunkt seiner Überlegungen stellt. Aus soziologischer Sicht wird die Störung der menschlichen Kommunikation in der heutigen instabilen Welt betrachtet. Besonderes Augenmerk wird auf die Frage gelegt, wie (Kon)figurationen durch Perturbationen, d. h. zusätzliche Faktoren, die bereits instabile Beziehungen stören, wie Krankheit, Verlust u. a., beeinflusst werden. In der Forschung zur Gegenwartsliteratur wurden solche Themen bisher nur am Rande behandelt. Die von Hermanns eingesetzten minimalistischen Strategien tragen dazu bei, literarische Porträts der in der modernen Welt verlorenen Figuren zu schaffen.
