The translator’s technological : competences in specialized translation praxis and education

We współczesnej praktyce i dydaktyce przekładu tekstów użytkowych niezmiernie aktualnym i mało zbadanym obszarem są kompetencje techniczne tłumacza. Autor zgłębia tę tematykę, opierając się na własnym doświadczeniu, wybranych ramach kompetencyjnych oraz stosując metody wieloletnich badań mieszanych. The main purpose of this book is to explore and describe the translator’s technological competence in specialized translation. The author investigates this topic, drawing on his own experience, a selected competence framework and undertaking a mixed methods study. The book outlines the language tools used in the translation process as well as the relevant knowledge and technical skills needed for professional translation. It also demonstrates the importance of technological competence vis-à-vis other translator's competences.
