Zaprezentowana tu korespondencja obejmuje cztery listy i dwie karty pocztowe z lat 1887-1888, wysłane przez Jana Baudouina de Courtenay do Jana Karłowicza. Korespondencja ta dotyczy dorpackiego etapu życia Baudouina de Courtenay i jego rodziny. Główne tematy to: 1) pobyt na stancji u Baudouinów najstarszego syna Karłowiczów - Edmunda; 2) relacje naukowe i pozanaukowe na Uniwersytecie Dorpackim i w Dorpacie. W edycji zachowano oryginalny zapis, w tym powtórzenia, przekreślenia i dopiski, co - jak można założyć - da wgląd do idiolektu Jana Baudouina de Courtenay. Druga część korespondencji, obejmująca siedem listów i czternaście kart pocztowych, ukaże się w "Acta Baltica-Slavica" w 2025 roku.

The correspondence presented here includes four letters and two postcards from 1887-1888, sent by Jan Baudouin de Courtenay to Jan Karłowicz. This correspondence concerns the Dorpat period of the life of Baudouin de Courtenay and his family. The main topics are: (1) the stay of the Karłowicz family's eldest son, Edmund, as a boarder at the home of the Baudouin family; (2) scholarly and other relations at Dorpat University and in Dorpat. The edition retains the original notation, including repetitions, crossings out and additions, which - as one can assume - will provide insight into the idiolect of Jean Baudouin de Courtenay. The second part of the correspondence, including seven letters and fourteen postcards, will be published in Acta Baltica-Slavica in 2025.
