Love, passing and Istanbul in Sait Faik’s poems from the collection called "Şimdi Sevişme Vakti"

W artykule analizie poddane zostały wiersze Saita Faika ze zbioru zatytułowanego "Şimdi Sevişme Vakti" [Teraz czas się kochać]. Tomik, opublikowany rok przed śmiercią autora, w 1953 roku, jest jedynym zbiorem poezji Saita Faika, znanego przede wszystkim jako prekursor i mistrz tureckiego opowiadania modernistycznego. Artykuł jest pierwszym polskim opracowaniem twórczości poetyckiej pisarza. Temat ten traktowany jest marginalnie także w tureckiej i światowej literaturze przedmiotu, ponieważ uwaga badawcza skupia się na ogół na opowiadaniach Saita Faika. Analiza dowiodła, że zbiór poezji jest spójny zarówno tematycznie, jak i pod względem obrazowania, które czerpie inspirację z repertuaru epiki i liryki. Za główne tematy reprezentowane w poezji Saita Faika zostały uznane: miłość, przemijanie i Stambuł, nierozerwalne ze sobą związane.

This article discusses Sait Faik’s poems from the collection called "Şimdi Sevişme Vakti" [It is time to love each other]. The book, published in 1953, a year before his death, is the only poetry collection by Sait Faik, known as a precursor and master of the Turkish modern short story. This is the first Polish study of the writer’s poetic works, however this sub ject is treated marginally in Turkish and world studies as well. Entire research attention is generally focused on the short stories written by Sait Faik. The article demonstrates that the poetry collection is coherent both thematically and in terms of imagery that draws inspiration from the epic and lyric repertoires. Love, passing and Istanbul were highlighted as the main themes represented in Sait Faik’s poetry, and it was proven that they are inseparably linked.
