Temat: Studium przypadku dziecka w wieku niemowlęcym i poniemowlęcym z atopowym zapaleniem skóry. Wstęp: Atopowe zapalenie skóry jest najczęściej występującą jednostką chorobową w wieku dziecięcym, rozpoczynającą się od 3 miesiąca życia. Jest przykrym doświadczeniem obejmującym dziecko, jak również opiekunów. Mała wiedza młodych rodziców, trudność w pielęgnowaniu skóry dziecka zmniejsza skuteczność diagnostyczną oraz terapeutyczną ognisk atopowych. Przewlekłość, nawrót choroby wpływa na spadek socjoekonomiczny oraz jakość życia rodzinny. Cel: Celem pracy było przedstawienie mechanizmu, przebiegu oraz leczenia atopowego zapalenia skóry w wieku niemowlęcym oraz poniemowlęcym a także zaproponowanie aspektów holistycznej opieki pielęgniarskiej nad dzieckiem i rola położnej w edukacji rodziców odnośnie pielęgnacji oraz żywienia dziecka.Materiał i metody: Metodą badań było studium przypadku. Techniki badawcze stosowane podczas badań to: analiza dokumentacji medycznej, wywiad z matką, z zespołem terapeutycznym, obserwacja dziecka, pomiary. Podmiotem badań było dziecko w wieku niemowlęcym i poniemowlęcym z atopowym zapaleniem skóry. Podsumowanie i wnioski: Dziecko z atopowym zapaleniem skóry, wymaga indywidualnej opieki holistycznej, obejmującej pielęgnację, eliminację czynników predysponujących do rozwoju choroby oraz zapewnienie wsparcia edukacyjno-psychologicznego. Zadaniem położnej jest nawiązanie ścisłej współpracy z dzieckiem oraz z jego opiekunami w celu utworzenia dostosowanego do pacjenta procesu pielęgnowania. Subject: Case study of a child in infant and post-infant age with atopic dermatitis. Introduction: Atopic dermatitis is the most common disease entity in infant age, beginning at the 3th month. It is an exhausting experience involving a child as well as caregivers. Restricted knowledge of young parents, as well as difficulty in taking care of a child's skin reduces the diagnostic and therapeutic effectiveness of atopic foci. Chronicity and relapse affect the family’s life quality.Goal: The aim of the study is to present the mechanism, the course and the treatment of atopic dermatitis in infancy and post-infancy. Moreover, some aspects of holistic nursing care for a child are proposed and the role of the midwife in parents' education regarding child care and nutrition is defined.Material and methods: Research are based on a case study, in which following techniques were used: analysis of medical records, interview with the mother and the therapeutic team, observation of the child and measurements. The subject of the study was a child in infant and post-infant age with atopic dermatitis.Summary and conclusions: A child with atopic dermatitis requires individual holistic care, including elimination of factors predisposing to the development of the disease and providing educational and psychological support. The midwife's task is to establish a close cooperation with the child and caregivers in order to provide a nursing process adapted to the patient.
