Analysis of the costs incurred by the company in relation to the employment of employees on the example of the Orbis Group

Celem pracy jest analiza kosztów ponoszonych przez przedsiębiorstwa w związku z zatrudnianiem pracowników. Podjęty problem badawczy opracowany został na przykładzie branży hotelarskiej i jej lidera czyli największej sieci hoteli w Polsce i całej Europie Wschodniej, jakim jest Grupa Orbis. Praca składa się z czterech rozdziałów. Analizę rozpoczyna przegląd podejść do pojęcia zatrudnienia oraz jego klasyfikacja. Przedstawiony został również proces planowania zatrudnienia oraz definicja kosztu pracy. W pracy scharakteryzowano również czynniki kształtujące wysokość kosztów związanych z zatrudnieniem. Dogłębnej analizie poddano wynagrodzenia oraz świadczenia bezpośrednie dla pracowników w ostatnich latach. W ostatniej części przybliżono istotę oraz historię badanego podmiotu oraz wykazano wyniki finansowe wraz z poniesionymi kosztami . Do całościowej analizy zagadnienia posłużono się dostępnymi źródłami literatury przedmiotu, badaniami i statystykami przeprowadzonymi przez Główny Urząd Statystyczny oraz sprawozdaniami finansowymi firmy za lata 2013- 2016.Uzyskane wyniki analiz przedstawiono przy wykorzystaniu techniki tabelaryczno- opisowej.

The aim of the study is to analyze the costs incurred by companies in relation to the employment of employees. The research problem was developed on the example of the hotel industry and the leader- the largest hotel chain in Poland and in Eastern Europe, the Orbis Group. This Master's thesis consists of four chapters. The analysis begins with an overview of approaches to the concept of employment and its classification. The process of employment planning and the definition of labor cost were also presented. There have been also characterized the factors shaping the cost of employment. In-depth analysis has examined the salary and direct benefits for employees in recent years. The last part approximates the essence and history of the examined entity and shows the financial results together with the costs incurred. The comprehensive analysis of the subject matter was made using available sources of literature, research and statistics carried out by the Central Statistical Office and financial statements of the company for the years 2013 - 2016. The obtained results of the analysis were presented using the tabular-descriptive technique.
