Model care of the osteoporosis's patient - a case study

Osteoporoza jest chorobą szkieletu, która cechuje się niską masą kostną i zaburzoną jej mikroarchitekturą, która prowadzi do zwiększonej łamliwości i podatności na złamania.Jest to choroba społeczno-cywilizacyjna. Na całym świecie choruje na nią ponad 200 mln ludzi, a liczba zachorowań ciągle wzrasta. Rozwija się ona najczęściej bezobjawowo przez wiele lat, a często pierwszym objawem jest złamanie kości. Celem pracy było opracowanie modelu opieki nad chorą z osteoporozą. W pracy przedstawiono podstawy kliniczne osteoporozy, uwzględniając: definicję choroby, epidemiologię, klasyfikację i czynniki ryzyka, obraz kliniczny, diagnostykę, leczenie oraz profilaktykę. W pracy zaprezentowano także autorski model opieki nad pacjentką chorującą na osteoporozę, który zawiera najważniejsze diagnozy pielęgniarskie oraz plan opieki pielęgniarskiej, zgodnie z wyznaczonymi celami.

Osteoporosis is a skeletal disease, which is characterised by low bone mass and disturbed microarchitecture, that leads to increase of bone frangibility and susceptibility to bone breaking. It is a social and civilisation disease. All around the world about 200 mln people have been affected by this illness, and the number is still increasing. It usually develops without any symptoms for many years; the first indication tends to be breaking the bone.The main aim of the work is to develop the model of care of the patient affected by osteoporosis. The project illustrates the clinical basis of osteoporosis, including: definition of the illness, epidemiology, classification and risk factors, clinical illustration, diagnosis, treatment and prophylaxis. There is also presented an authorial model of care of a patient with osteoporosis that contains the most important nursing diagnosis, as well as the nursing care plan, compatibly with scheduled aims.
