Moluneux’s question is this: "Suppose a man born blind, and now adult, and taught by his touch to distinguish between a cube and a sphere […] and the blind man made to see: Quaere, whether by his sight, before he touched them, he could now distinguish, and tell which is the globe, which the cube?". My concern in this paper is to argue that an affirmative answer given by the British philosopher Gareth Evans (1946–1980) fails, mainly because he tacitly ignores the quantitative factor of availability of information encapsulated in perceptual experiences.
