The importance of the identity of the city in the process of designing mural art

Niniejsza praca podejmuje temat relacji sztuki muralistycznej i miasta. W tym celu autorka dokonuje przeglądu literatury omawiającej zjawiska muralu i tożsamości miasta, by następnie określić zachodzące między nimi zależności, z wykorzystaniem jakościowych badań własnych. W wyniku analizy danych przedstawionych w części teoretycznej oraz zebranych podczas wywiadów, autorka stwierdza że relacja sztuki muralistycznej i tożsamości miasta jest złożona i wieloaspektowa, jednak znacząca w każdym z opisywanych przypadków.

This work takes up the theme of the relationship between mural art and the city. For this purpose, the author reviews the literature discussing the phenomena of mural and the identity of the city, and then determines the connection between them, using their own qualitative research. As a result of the analysis of the data presented in the theoretical part and collected during the interviews, the author concludes that the relationship between mural art and the identity of the city is complex as it is multifaceted, but significant in each of the cases described.
