Comparative analysis of vulgarisms usage in Spain and Poland.

Celem tej pracy jest analiza porównawcza użycia wulgaryzmów w Hiszpanii i w Polsce. Wyjaśnia ona, czym jest wulgaryzm, skupia się na wulgaryzmach używanych w każdym z tych krajów, wyjaśnia pochodzenie tego słowa, jego znaczenie i użycie. Tłumaczy proces dewulgaryzacji słów, to znaczy zmiany wulgaryzmu w słowo kolokwialne oraz wskazuje na istnienie eufemizmów, czyli słów lub wyrażeń, które zastępują wulgaryzm lub wyraz tabu w sposób mniej szokujący i bardziej stosowny. Niniejsza praca rozważa przede wszystkim, dlaczego i po co używa się wulgaryzmów. Interesującym jej aspektem może być różnica kulturowa i mentalna, którą można zaobserwować w badaniach przeprowadzonych wśród mieszkańców wspomnianych krajów.

The aim of this thesis is a comparative analysis of the vulgarisms usage in Spain and Poland. It defines what vulgarism is, focuses on vulgarisms used in each of these countries, and explains the origin of the word, its meaning and use. Explains the process words de-vulgarization, it means the change of vulgar word into colloquial word and indicates the existence of euphemisms, that is, words or phrases that replace vulgar or taboo word into less shocking and more appropriate one. The thesis primarily considers why vulgarisms are being used and what the purpose of them is. An interesting aspect of this study may be a cultural and mental difference, which can be observed in a survey conducted among residents of these countries.

El objeto de este trabajo es un análisis comparativo del uso de vulgarismos en España y Polonia. La tesina explica qué es un vulgarismo, se centra en los vulgarismos que se emplean en cada país, explica su etimología, significado y uso. Aclara el proceso de desvulgarizar las palabras, es decir pasar de lo vulgar a lo coloquial y destaca la existencia de los eufemismos, o sea palabras o expresiones que sustituyen al vulgarismo o alguna palabra tabú de forma menos chocante y más adecuada, pero sobre todo, trata de razonar porqué y para qué de usar vulgarismos. Un aspecto interesante de esta tesina puede ser la diferencia cultural y mental, que se revela durante los estudios, entre la gente de dos países mencionados.
