Application of the palynology in the judiciary

Celem mojej pracy jest przedstawienie zastosowania palinologii, czyli dyscypliny naukowej zajmującej się badaniami zarodników oraz ziaren pyłku roślin, w procesach sądowych. We wstępie opisany został proces powstawania oraz budowa ziaren pyłku u roślin nagonasiennych i okrytonasiennych. Wyjaśniono pokrótce proces pylenia u roślin. Zostały omówione sposoby rozprzestrzeniania pyłku, a także zróżnicowanie sezonowe najbardziej intensywnego pylenia roślin, na podstawie przykładowego kalendarza pyłkowego. Meritum pracy jest przedstawienie związku tej nauki z procesami sądowymi. Omówiono sytuacje, w których palinologia sądowa znajduje zastosowanie, co zostało poparte konkretnymi przykładami prawdziwych sytuacji w ubiegłych latach.

The purpose of my work is describing applying the palynology, a field of science dealing with examinations of spores and grains of the pollen of plants, in the litigation. In the introduction was described a process of coming into existence and structure of pollen grains at Gymnospermae and Angiospermae plants. A process of discharging pollen at plants was briefly explained. There were described the ways of diffusing pollen and seasonal diversifying most intensive discharging pollen of plants, based on the model pollen calendar. Essence of the work is describing the connection of this science with the litigation. Situations, in which the forensic palynology is finding application, were discussed, what was backed up with concrete examples of real situations in previous years.
