Abstract in English
The author is looking for an answer to question whether new technologies are an opportunity for development or barrier for the elderly? Starting from the national data that shows the scale of the digital divide, than presenting characteristics of participation, motivation and incentives that guide the seniors for reaching the digital technologies and impacting the silver economy. The article also presents means of neutralizing the digital divide among seniors. The publication is based on research reports, including two projects of AMU Regional Observatory of Culture in the creation of which the author was actively involved.
