nanoamaterials, Raman spectroscopy
Inżynieria tkankowa to najnowocześniejsza dziedzina terapeutycznak: oferuje ciekawe alternatywy w porównaniu do bardziej tradycyjnych metod np. przeszczepów tkanek. Aby naśladować funkcję tkanki, nowy materiał powinien stymulowac i regulować wzrost komórek. W pracy magisterskiej dokładnie opisano strukturę poprzez analizę składowych: polimeru stanowiącego matrycę i nanododatków. PCL/G i PCL/GO. Charakteryzowano wpływ typów nanoaddodatków poprzez ocenę krystaliczności osnowy polimerowej oraz nanocząstek węgla w obrębie nanomateriałów, a następnie oceniano te same parametry w porównaniu z samymi składnikami.
Tissue engineering is a cutting-edge domain: it offers viable alternatives to more traditional tissue transplant. To mimic tissues, the new material should support and regulate cell growth. A bone tissue regeneration agent can be created by combining the polymer poly(ε-caprolactone), PCL polymer with carbon based nanoadditives (graphene (G), oxidized graphene (GO), multi-walled carbon nano tubes (MWCNTs), raw and oxidized and carbon nano-fibers (CNFs), also raw and oxidized). This combination meets all the specific needs: biocompatibility, biodegradability and correct strength and porosity. In order to fully assess the success of the engineered tissue, its structure must be fully understood. This starts by precisely describing the structure of its components: base polymer and nanoadditives. This structural analysis was performed by Raman microspectroscopy as it has been proven to be an ideal method: it allows full structural characterization of materials. Dispersion of the Raman spectra bands, ordered crystallite sizes and distance between point defects were discussed and compared. Firstly, among the same type of nanoadditive then contrasted against each other. Once the individual components were well defined, the nanocomposites formed by combining both constituents were also analyzed. The same analytical method, Raman spectroscopy, was also used to characterize the newly formed membrane’s structure, i.e. PCL/G and PCL/GO. The effect of types of nanoadditive was characterized by evaluating the crystallinity of the polymer matrix as well as carbon nanoparticles within nanomaterials, the same parameters were evaluated then compared to the components alone.
