Lisy jako magiczne zwierzęta w folklorze i sztuce japońskiej.

Celem pracy jest ukazanie lisów jako magicznych zwierząt w folklorze i sztuce japońskiej. Zakres pracy obejmuje: rolę jaką pełnią lisy w kulcie boga ryżu Inari, przedstawienie wpływów obcych kultur na powstanie opowieści o lisach na przestrzeni wieków, charakterystykę magicznych umiejętności lisów ( transformacja, lisie ogniki, kitsune- tsuki, hoshi no tama, lisie wesele) w oparciu o analizę wybranych tekstów. Praca opisuje także kitsune mochi - rodziny posiadające lisie duchy na swoich usługach. Ostatnia część traktuje o różnych wizerunkach lisów w sztukach teatru japońskiego oraz w malarstwie epoki Edo.
This essay aims to portray the foxes as magical animals in the Japanese art and folklore. The scope of this work encompasses: the role of foxes in the worship of the Rice God, Inari; the influence of foreign cultures on the origins of fox folk tales throughout the centuries; and an outline of the magical abilities of foxes (shape shifting, fox fires, kitsune-tsuki, hoshi no tama and the fox wedding) based on the analysis of selected texts. The essay also describes kitsune mochi - families, who employ the fox spirits in their service. The final section deals with diverse images of the foxes and their magical powers as presented in the theatre plays and the Edo Period Painting.
