Celem niniejszej pracy jest przedstawienie kreacji bohaterek w dziełach starożytnej literatury indyjskiej. Analizie poddano sposoby, jakimi opisywane są postaci kobiece w wybranych tekstach. Podjęto również próbę przyjrzenia się czynnikom, jakie mogły mieć wpływ na kształtowanie się obrazu kobiety w najbardziej znanych utworach regionu.
The purpose of this paper is to present the most eminent female characters in ancient Indian literature and analyze the ways in which they were depicted, based on selected texts. This research was conducted to determine different factors that could have had an impact on the process of shaping the image of women in the most famous literary works of the region.
