Celem mojej pracy jest prześledzenie drogi poszukiwania tożsamości przez narratora w „Nadjy” (1928), autorstwa André Bretona. „Nadja”, oprócz wyraźnego rysu autobiograficznego, stanowi ucieleśnienie surrealizmu, odwołując się w całości do założeń tego ruchu. Poprzez krótką panoramę surrealizmu, ocenę zachowania Nadjy i jej relacji z Bretonem, moja analiza skupia się na znalezieniu odpowiedzi na kluczowe pytanie „Kim jestem?”, będące poszukiwaniem ontologicznych źródeł tożsamości.

The aim of my bachelor’s thesis is to follow the path of the narrator’s identity quest in ‘Nadja’ (1928) by André Breton. ‘Nadja’, apart from its clear autobiographical features, is the embodiment of surrealism, referring entirely to the foundation of this movement. Through brief panorama of surrealism, the assessment of behaviour of Nadja and her relation with Breton, my analysis tries to find a response to the key question ‘Who am I ?’, which is a search for ontological sources of identity.

L'objectif de mon mémoire est de suivre le chemin de la recherche de l’identité du narrateur dans « Nadja » (1928) d’André Breton. Récit autobiographique, « Nadja » est aussi une incarnation du surréalisme, se référant à tous les principes de ce mouvement. A travers un bref panorama du surréalisme, une évaluation du comportement de Nadja et sa relation avec Breton, mon analyse cherche à trouver une réponse à la question-clé « Qui suis-je ? » qui est une recherche de sources ontologiques de l'identité.
