Artykuł zatytułowany "Quod si quis est, qui sine societate hominum uiuere queat nemineque indigens se ipse contentus sit, is non ciuis, sed uel bellua, uel Deus putandus est", czyli o roli retoryki w próbach kształtowania wspólnoty państwowej na przykładzie wybranych fragmentów "Commentariorum de Republica emendanda libri quinque" Andrzeja Frycza Modrzewskiego" dotyczy kwestii wpływu retoryki klasycznej na próby kształtowania wspólnoty państwowej. Skupiam się w nim na przedstawieniu strategii argumentacyjnych użytych przez autora w celu wywarcia realnego wpływu na czytelników, a co za tym idzie na sposób funkcjonowania państwa. W pracy analizuję początkowe rozdziały księgi pierwszej, De moribus, zwłaszcza te poświęcone definicji państwa oraz kwestii wychowania młodzieży do bycia wartościowymi obywatelami.

The article titled "Quod si quis est, qui sine societate hominum uiuere queat nemineque indigens se ipse contentus sit, is non ciuis, sed uel bellua, uel Deus putandus est" or, on the role of rhetoric in attempts to shape the state community, exemplified by selected passages from "Commentariorum de Republica emendanda libri quinque" by Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski" focuses on the influence of classical rhetoric on attempts to shape a political and national community. It concentrates on presenting the argumentative strategies employed by the author to extract a real impact on readers and, consequently, on the functioning of the state. The work analyzes the initial chapters of Book One, "De moribus", especially those dedicated to the definition of the state and the issue of educating the youth to become valuable citizens.
