Flexible forms of employment and the labour market

Praca dyplomowa porusza temat elastycznych form zatrudnienia, w kontekście ich funkcjonowania, charakterystyki oraz powiązania z rynkiem pracy. Celem niniejszej pracy dyplomowej jest charakterystyka oraz określenie roli i znaczenia elastycznych form zatrudnienia we współczesnej gospodarce rynkowej oraz zbadanie korzyści i strat jakie niesie za sobą stosowanie tych form zarówno dla przedsiębiorstw, pracowników jak i w kontekście całego rynku pracy. Jako tezę przewodnią przyjęłam, że odpowiednie stosowanie nietypowych form zatrudnienia może stymulować rynek pracy, przyczynić się do aktywizacji zawodowej wielu grup społecznych, zwłaszcza matek wychowujących małe dzieci oraz zredukować bezrobocie. Praca dyplomowa zawiera opis elastycznych form zatrudnienia jakie funkcjonują na polskim rynku pracy, analizę tych form pod względem prawno-organizacyjnym oraz ekonomiczno-społecznym, a także ich wpływ na rynek pracy. Praca składa się z trzech rozdziałów, które są podzielone na podrozdziały. Pierwszy rozdział zawiera definicję, analizę oraz klasyfikację elastycznych form zatrudnienia. Drugi rozdział omawia przyczyny, które spowodowały powstanie koncepcji elastyczności, wyjaśnia jej istotę oraz rodzaje, a także definiuje czym jest elastyczny rynek pracy. Trzeci rozdział przedstawia elastyczne zatrudnienie w świetle danych statystycznych oraz kwestia wpływu nietypowych form zatrudnienia na bezrobocie, a także charakterystyka koncepcji Work-Life Balance. Zakończenie zawiera podsumowanie rozważań na temat funkcjonowania elastycznych form zatrudnienia oraz wnioski płynące z pracy dyplomowej.

The diploma thesis deals with the subject of flexible forms of employment, in the context of their functioning, characteristics and connections with the labor market. The aim of this diploma thesis is to characterize and define the role and importance of flexible forms of employment in the modern market economy and to examine the benefits and losses that the use of these forms entails both for enterprises, employees and in the context of the entire labor market. As a guiding principle, I assumed that the appropriate use of atypical forms of employment can stimulate the labor market, contribute to the professional activation of many social groups, especially mothers bringing up small children and reduce unemployment. The diploma thesis contains a description of flexible forms of employment that operate on the Polish labor market, analysis of these forms in terms of legal and organizational as well as economic and social, as well as their impact on the labor market. The work consists of three chapters, which are divided into subsections. The first chapter contains the definition, analysis and classification of flexible forms of employment. The second chapter discusses the reasons that created the concept of flexibility, explains its essence and types, and defines what a flexible labor market is. The third chapter presents flexible employment in the light of statistical data and the issue of the impact of atypical forms of employment on unemployment, as well as the characteristics of the Work-Life Balance concept. The conclusion contains a summary of considerations on the functioning of flexible forms of employment and conclusions from the diploma thesis.
