An analysis of subtitles of the French television series "Family Business" translated into Polish.

Celem niniejszej pracy licencjackiej było przeanalizowanie tłumaczenia w formie napisów na język polski francuskiego serialu komediowego „Family Business”. W części teoretycznej przedstawione zostały możliwe formy tłumaczenia audiowizualnego, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem napisów, oraz techniki tłumaczenia i rodzaje operacji językowych, które można przeprowadzić na tekście oryginalnym. Część praktyczna przedstawia analizę polskich napisów francuskojęzycznego serialu „Family Business”, wykonanej w oparciu o operacje i techniki zawarte w części teoretycznej.

The aim of this bachelor thesis was to analyze the translated subtitles of the French comedy series “Family Business”. The theoretical part presents possible forms of audiovisual translation, with particular emphasis on subtitles, as well as translation techniques and types of language operations that can be performed on the original text. The practical part presents an analysis of the translation of the French-language series “Family Business” into Polish, based on the techniques and operations included in the theoretical part.

L'objectif de ce mémoire de licence est d'analyser la traduction polonaise sous-titrée de la série comique française « Family Business ». La partie théorique présente les différentes formes de traduction audiovisuelle ; un accent particulier est mis sur les sous-titres, ainsi que les techniques de traduction et les types d'opérations linguistiques qui peuvent être réalisées sur le texte original. La partie pratique présente une analyse des sous-titres polonais de la série francophone « Family Business », fondée sur les techniques et les opérations présentées dans la partie théorique.
