The analysis of unemployment in the Tatra district and the methods used to fight against it.

Celem niniejszej pracy jest charakterystyka bezrobocia na lokalnym rynku pracy jakim jest powiat tatrzański. Praca ta ma także na celu wykazanie, iż istnieje zależność pomiędzy fluktuacjami bezrobocia w skali roku, a ruchem turystycznym w regionie. Zakopane znajdujące się w centrum powiatu tatrzańskiego jest ośrodkiem gospodarczym wyspecjalizowanym w usługach turystycznych. Rynek pracy w powiecie tatrzańskim jest bardzo specyficzny, charakteryzuje go wysoki wskaźnik przedsiębiorczości, a także ilość małych przedsiębiorstw (96% ogółu) zatrudniających do 9 pracowników. W pracy omówione zostały także metody walki z bezrobociem stosowane przez Powiatowy Urząd Pracy.

The main purpose of this paper is to analyse unemployment on a local labor market - the Tatra district. This work also tries to prove the relation between annual unemployment fluctuation and tourist activity. Zakopane which is located in the center of the Tatra district is a market specialised in tourist services. The labor market of the Tatra district is specific, it is charasterised by the high index of entrepreneurial activity and high number of small enterprises (96% of total) employing not more than 9 employees. The last part of this paper describes the methods used by the local jobcenter to fight unemployment.
