Patriotic education in polish independent tradition

1. Rodzaj artykułu. Tekst jest oryginalnym przyczynkiem do badań nad wychowaniem patriotycznym. Artykuł ma charakter koncepcyjny, teoretyczny i dotyczy teorii wychowania. 2. Cel artykułu. Celem artykułu jest pokazanie problematyki wychowania patriotycznego w aspekcie filozoficznym (istotnościowym), zwłaszcza w odniesieniu do niepodległości, suwerenności, dobra wspólnego – Ojczyzny. 3. Zastosowana metodologia badawcza. Autor w artykule użył filozoficzną metodę istotnościową. 4. Główne wyniki analizy. W wyniku analizy ukazano wychowanie patriotyczne w kontekście tradycji niepodległościowej, przyjmując jednocześnie przy budowaniu teorii wychowania patriotycznego (patriologii) za narzędzia filozoficzne osiągnięcia K.J.A Twardowskiego (akt, treść aktu, przedmiot aktu), a także filozoficzne, klasyczne podziały władz umysłowych w człowieku (rozum, wola, uczucia) i podziały uzupełniające (pamięć, uwaga, wyobraźnia). Autor pokazuje udział rozumu, woli, uczuć w formowaniu postawy patriotycznej. Ukazuje on także udział pamięci (przeszłość), uwagi (teraźniejszość) i wyobraźni (przyszłość) w wychowaniu patriotycznym. Wyjaśniono kwestie podstawowe: czym jest wychowanie patriotyczne oraz jaki cel wychowania patriotycznego. Podano cztery przyczyny niepodległości: formalną, materialną, sprawczą i celową. 5. Ograniczenia wyników analizy. szczegółowe wyniki części analizy są ograniczone do polskiego wychowania patriotycznego w aspekcie niepodległości. 6. Implikacje praktyczne artykułu. Wyniki analiz można zastosować w praktyce przez pedagogikę, hebagogikę i andragogikę. Poszczególne tezy mają także swoje implikacje teoretyczne – jako podstawa dla dalszych badań nad teorią patriotyzmu i wychowania patriotycznego. 7. Implikacje społeczne artykułu. Wyniki analizy mają zastosowanie społeczne w wychowaniu patriotycznym w polskiej społeczności narodowej. 8. Oryginalność artykułu. Nowa wartość, jaką wnosi niniejszy artykuł w stosunku do dotychczasowych badań – wynika z zastosowania istotnościowej metodologii do teorii patriotyzmu i wychowania patriotycznego, zwłaszcza w aspektach filozoficznym (kultura i wychowanie, filozofia narodu i państwa) i niepodległościowym (suwerenny naród i państwo w służbie niepodległości).

1. Type of article (A kind of article). The text is an original contribution to research patriotic education. The article is conceptual and theoretical and it concerns theory of education. 2 The goal of an article. The article aims are at presenting the problems of patriotic education in the philosophical (essential) aspects, especially in relation to the independence, sovereignty, the common good – the Homeland. 3 The research method applied. The author in the article used a philosophical essential method. 4. The main results of the analysis. As results of the analysis are shown patriotic education in the context of traditions of independence, while taking in building a theory of patriotic education (patriology) the philosophical achievement of K.J.A. Twardowski for the tools (the act, the content of the act, the object of the act) and also philosophical, classical divisions of mental authorities in mind of a man (reason, will, emotions) and complementary divisions (memory, attention, imagination). The author shows the participation of reason, will and emotions in the formation of patriotic attitudes. He presents also the participation of memory (the past), attention (presently, now), and imagination (future) in patriotic education. There is the explanation of the basic questions: what is the patriotic education, and what is the purpose (the aim) of patriotic education. There are analyzed four causes of independence: formal, material, causal and intentional. 5. The limits of the results. The special results of a part of analysis are limited especially to the Polish patriotic education in aspect of independence. 6. Practical implications of the article. The results of the analysis can be applied in practice by the pedagogy, hebagogy and andragogy. Individual thesis also have their theoretical implications – as a basis (grounds) for further research on the theory of patriotism and patriotic education. 7. Social implications of the article. Results of the analysis are applicable socially in patriotic education in the Polish national community. 8. The novelty (and originality) of the article. The New insights (the new value) introduced by the article with regards to the current research (in relation to previous studies) is implicated by the application of the essential method to the theory of patriotism and patriotic education (patriotic upbringing), especially in the aspects of philosophy (culture and education, the philosophy of the nation and the state) and independence (sovereign nation and the state in the service of independence).
