Proces kształtowania tożsamości narodowej Palestyńczyków po pierwszej wojnie światowejTematem niniejszej pracy jest proces kształtowania tożsamości narodowej Palestyńczyków po pierwszej wojnie światowej. Analiza tego zjawiska przeprowadzona została na podstawie wydarzeń historycznych, które pomogły wskazać początek narodowotwórczy i jego etapy. Dzięki teoretycznej części zawartej w rozdziale pierwszym sformułowane zostały pewne wytyczne, z którymi porównano sytuację Palestyńczyków. Na podstawie modeli narodu i tożsamości dokonano przeglądu historycznego, który pozwolił wskazać przyczyny zmian w świadomości Palestyńczyków. W rozdziale drugim opisane zjawisko rozwoju palestyńskich organizacji politycznych i publicznych wskazuję na niezadowolenia lokalnych mieszkańców z rosnącej imigracji żydowskiej, której wyrazem jest przebudzenie wśród ludności rabskiej. Dzięki obszernej literaturze dotyczącej okresu Mandatu Palestyny przedstawione zostały dane demograficzne, które przedstawiają transformację społeczeństwa po pierwszej wojnie światowej. Dane te mają na celu ukazanie wpływu imigracji żydowskiej na tożsamość Palestyńczyków. Transformacja społeczeństwa i przebudzenie narodowe stanowią punkt wyjścia do dalszej części pracy, która skupia się na uchodźctwie i formułowaniu się tożsamości narodowej poza granicami państwa. Celem rozdziału trzeciego i czwartego jest przede wszystkim ukazanie niejednolitego charakteru tożsamości, który często determinowany jest sytuacją życiową podmiotów. Opisane przypadki Palestyńczyków w obozach dla uchodźców, w diasporze jordańskiej, libańskiej i pod okupacją izraelską, wskazują na niejednorodny charakter tego procesu. Dzięki opisanym badaniom dzieci mieszkających zarówno w obozach jak i na terenach okupowanych wskazano na rozwój organizacji militarnych oraz tendencje radykalizacji uchodźców. Dzięki określonym modelom nacjonalizmu , analiza w rozdziale czwartym skupia się na ponadczasowym charakterze kształtowania się tożsamości narodowej Palestyńczyków.

The process of shaping the national identity of the Palestinians after the First World War.The subject of this work is the process of shaping the national identity of the Palestinians after the First World War. The analysis of this phenomenon was carried out on the basis of historical events which helped point to the start of national process and its stages. Thanks to the theoretical part located on the first chapter, some guidelines were formulated which compared the situation of Palestinians. On the basis of the models of the nation and identity, a historical review was made which allowed to indicate the causes of the changes in the minds of Palestinians.In the second chapter, the described phenomenon of the development of Palestinian political and public organizations points to the dissatisfaction of local residents from the growing Jewish immigration, which is manifested by the revival among the Arab population. Thanks to the extensive literature on the period of the Mandate of Palestine, demographic data were presented, which depict the transformation of society after the First World War. These data are intended to show the influence of Jewish immigration on the identity of Palestinians. Transformation of society and national awakening are the starting point for further part of the work which focuses on exile and the formulation of national identity outside the borders of the state.The purpose of the third and fourth chapter is first of all to show the heterogeneous character of identity, which is often determined by the life situation of the subjects. The reported cases of Palestinians in refugee camps, in the Jordanian diaspora, Lebanese and under Israeli occupation, point to the heterogeneous nature of this process. Thanks to the research described, children living in both camps and occupied territories pointed to the development of military organizations and trends in the radicalization of refugees. Thanks to specific models of nationalism, the analysis in the fourth chapter focuses on the timeless nature of the formation of the national identity of the Palestinians.
