The stereotype of a woman in Czech jokes for adults and children

Celem niniejszej pracy jest rekonstrukcja i kompleksowa analiza stereotypu kobiety utrwalonego w czeskich żartach powtarzanych przez dorosłych i dzieci. Rozróżnienie na perspektywę dorosłych oraz dzieci zostało przyjęte w celu prześledzenia procesu rozwoju rzeczonego stereotypu pod wpływem dorastania. Zgromadzony materiał został poddany analizie pod kątem cech stereotypowych z wykorzystaniem metodologii kognitywnej. Praca w pierwszej kolejności skupia się na przedstawieniu wyników rekonstrukcji czeskiego stereotypu kobiety z zachowaniem rozróżnienia na perspektywę dorosłych oraz dzieci. Obydwa punkty widzenia są następnie porównywane w celu dostrzeżenia elementów stałych oraz zmiennych stereotypu i tym samym próby odpowiedzi na pytanie o fundamenty czeskiego stereotypu kobiety, typowego dla dorosłych Czechów.

The aim of this paper is to reconstruct and comprehensively analyse the stereotype of a woman depicted in Czech jokes repeated by the adults and children. Distinction between the adult and children's perspectives has been made in order to study the development of said stereotype under the influence of growing up. Collected material was analysed for stereotypical features using cognitive methodology. Initially, the paper focuses on presenting the results of the reconstruction of the Czech stereotype of a woman with maintaining the distinction between the adult and children's perspectives. Both viewpoints are further compared with the aim of finding the stereotype's fixed and variable elements and thus answering the question about the sources of the stereotype of a woman typical for adult Czechs.
