Autonomy and harm : on the permissibility of surrogacy

Artykuł zostanie poświęcony kwestii surogacji. Zostaną w nim przedstawione dwa przeciwstawne argumenty - jeden za, a drugi przeciw praktyce surogacji. Pierwszy argument to argument z autonomii, natomiast drugi argument dotyczy krzywdy kobiet (tak surogatki, jak i interesów kobiet w społeczeństwie). Teza tekstu zakłada, że argument przeciw umowom o macierzyństwo zastępcze jest mocniejszy i dlatego, mimo pewnych uzasadnionych racji, surogacja nie powinna być dopuszczalną praktyką.

The article will be dedicated to the issue of surrogacy. It will present two opposing arguments - one in favor of and the other against the practice of surrogacy. The first argument is the argument from autonomy, while the second argument concerns the harm to women (both the surrogate herself and the interests of women in society). The thesis of the text posits that the argument against surrogate motherhood agreements is stronger and explains why, despite certain justified reasons, surrogacy should not be an acceptable practice.
