The essay presents the profile, the way of thinking and the views on Russia of Władysław Studnicki (1867-1953) - a prolific political writer who was much concerned with Polish independence. The anti-Russian overtone of his standpoint results from a highly emotional approach. Therefore a parallel can be drawn between Studnicki's stance and the Polish present Eastern politics.
