Postać Lady Macbeth w wybranych polskich tłumaczeniach sztuki Szekspira

Celem niniejszej pracy magisterskiej było porównanie różnych przedstawień postaci Lady Makbet i ich ukrytych interpretacji ujawnionych w tłumaczeniach sztuki przez Józefa Paszkowskiego, Macieja Słomczyńskiego i Stanisława Barańczaka. W tym celu odniosłam się do scen, w których występuje Lady Makbet, i porównałam właściwe fragmenty w trzech tłumaczeniach, biorąc również pod uwagę tekst oryginału. W rozdziale pierwszym zostało przedstawione krótkie streszczenie i analiza samej sztuki, a przede wszystkim charakterystyka dwóch głównych bohaterów, Makbeta i Lady Makbet. W rozdziale pierwszym omówiłam szczegółowo różnice w charakteryzacji Lady Makbet przed zamordowaniem Duncana, a w rozdziale drugim odpowiednio różnice w charakteryzacji Lady Makbet po zamordowaniu Duncana.

The aim of this thesis has been to compare and contrast different character presentations of Lady Macbeth and their implicit interpretations revealed in the translations of the play by Józef Paszkowski, Maciej Słomczyński and Stanisław Barańczak. In order to do so, I have referred to the scenes in which Lady Macbeth appears and have collated appropriate passages in the three translations, taking the original text into account, too. Chapter One offers a brief summary and analysis of the play itself, and above all, the characterization of the two protagonists, Macbeth and Lady Macbeth. In this chapter I have discussed in detail the differences in Lady Macbeth’s character before the murder of Duncan and, respectively, in Chapter Two – the differences in Lady Macbeth’s character after the murder of Duncan.
