Gypsy photos - a "naive" photography. Attempt to analyse a photoproject carried out among Roma children in Moldova

Praca stanowi próbę analizy materiału fotograficznego zebranego podczas pobytu wśród społeczności romskiej w Sorokach w Mołdawii. Projekt był częścią warsztatów edukacji emocjonalnych prowadzonych przez grupę animatorów w ramach inicjatywy społeczno-antropologicznej o nazwie "Projekt CzujCzuj". Autorka dokonuje analizy założeń projektu edukacji emocjonalnej w oparciu o neurobiologiczną koncepcję konstrukcji emocjonalnej człowieka. Przystępując do próby interpretacji obrazów fotograficznych, podejmuje temat obecności i znaczenia wizualności w kulturze Romów w Sorokach. Na podstawie obserwacji, stara się też określić upodobania estetyczne badanej społeczności jak również psychologiczne, kulturowe oraz okolicznościowe (np. czas świąteczny, pora roku) czynniki, które mogły wpłynąć na powstałe obrazy. Na koniec dokonuje porównawczej analizy innych, podobnych projektów, przeprowadzanych m. in. na gruncie psychologii, sztuki czy nauk społecznych.

The work is an attempt to analyse a photographic material gathered during a stay among Roma society in Soroca in Moldova. Project was a part of workshops about emotional learning carried out by a group of activists as a part of social-anthropological initiative named "The CzujCzuj Project". The author makes an attempt to analyse assumptions of the project of emotional learning, basing on neurobiological conception of emotional construction of the humans. Trying to interpret the photographic pictures, author takes up the question of presence and importance of visuality in the culture of Romas in Soroca. On the grounds of observation, she also tries to describe the aesthetic preferences of the researched society and psychological, cultural and situational (e. g. holidays or seasons) factors that could have influenced the photographs. At the end, the author makes a comparative analysis of other, similar photoprojects carried out by psychologists, artists or social researchers.
