Przedmiotem pracy jest prezentacja roli Rzecznika Praw Obywatelskich w Polsce. Praca składa się z czterech rozdziałów. Pierwszy przedstawia genezę Ombudsmana na świecie i historię powstania urzędu w Polsce. Drugi rozdział mówi o pozycji ustrojowej i organizacji urzędu RPO. W trzecim rozdziale przedstawiono rolę Rzecznika, jego kompetencje i zasady działania. Ostatni natomiast prezentuje funkcje oraz działalność polskich Rzeczników od momentu powstania instytucji.
The subject of the thesis is to present role of the Ombudsman in Poland. The thesis consists of four chapters. The first chapter shows genesis of the Ombudsman in the world and presents a profile of the Polish Ombudsman and explains the creating this institution in our country. The second chapter describes the political position and organization of the office of the Polish Ombudsman. The third chapter shows ombudsman's role and his competences. Also illustrates the principles of operation of the institution. The last chapter shows the functions and activity of the Polish Ombudsmans from the beginning of creating this institution.
