Who needs Turkish loanwords in the Slavic languages?

As is well known, there has existed abundance of Turkish, and generally Turkic, loanwords in Slavic. Even though research on the topic was already conducted by F. Miklosich, it seems that no-one has thought to ask who needs those words more, Slavicists or Turkologists. This author argues that Turkologists can considerably benefit from a historical analysis of those words ‒ if Slavicists take advantage of the opportunity to make them aware of the fact. At the same time, Slavicists, too, stand to profit from such collaboration as they will be in a position to establish both the exact phonetic shape of the Turkish etymon, and the period in which the word was borrowed into Slavic, if only they decide to make use of Turkological knowledge.

Всем хорошо известен тот факт, что в славянских языках употребляются очень многие слова, заимствованные из турецкого языка (и вообще, из тюркских языков). Хотя эту тему изучал уже Ф. Миклошич, никто до сих пор, пожалуй, не спрашивал, кому эти слова больше нужны, славистам или тюркологам. Автор данной статьи высказывается за то, что исторический анализ тюркизмов принесет тюркологам большýю пользу, если только слависты воспользуются возможностью продемонстрировать им значение этих заимствований для тюркологии. С другой стороны, и самим славистам будет полезно воспользоваться тюркологическими знаниями, которые делают возможным точно определить звучание их турецкого этимона и датировать период заимствования этих слов.
