Praca omawia nowe prawo pokrewne dla wydawców prasy przewidziane w dyrektywie Parlamentu Europejskiego i Rady (UE) 2019/790 z dnia 17 kwietnia 2019 r. Przybliża kwestie celowości wprowadzenia tej regulacji, odnosząc się do przemian zachodzących na rynku prasowym związanych z funkcjonowaniem platform internetowych. Praca objaśnia pojęcia występujące w dyrektywie, wyłączenia obowiązywania omawianej regulacji, a także kontrowersje i problemy związane z interpretacją, implementacją oraz przyszłym stosowaniem poszczególnych aspektów prawa wydawców.
The thesis presents the new press publishers' right introduced by the Directive (EU) 2019/790 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 April 2019. It discusses the issues of the rationale of the introduction of aforementioned regulation, referring to the transformations taking place in the press market related to the activity of the Internet service providers. The work explains the concepts appearing in the directive, exclusions from the scope of the right, as well as controversies and problems related to the interpretation, implementation and future application of particular aspects of the publishers' right.
