Abstract in English
The article concentrates on economic relations between the European Communities and the Socialistic Federal Republic of Yugoslavia from 1962, when the initial contact was made, until the early nineties of the 20th century, when due to the start of Yugoslavia's military disintegration all economic cooperation was halted. The culminating point of these mainly economic contacts between the two subjects was the signing of the Cooperation Agreement in 1980, which bears significant resemblances to the Association Agreements signed by the EC with the countries of Eastern Europe in the nineties.
