Praca przedstawia zarys historyczny chasydyzmu, obrazuje rolę kobiety w ortodoksyjnym świecie oraz prezentuje współczesną, izraelską kinematografię. Praca jest próbą analizy pozycji kobiety w chasydzkiej wspólnocie we współczesnym Izraelu na podstawie dwóch filmów izraelskiej produkcji. Głównym celem pracy jest zestawienie i porównanie ze sobą odmiennych typów oraz wzorów zachowania bohaterek występujących w filmach, podlegającym rygorystycznemu religijnemu prawu.
The thesis presents the historical outline of Hassidic movement and status of woman in the orthodox world in modern Israel as well as contemporary, Israeli cinematography. The thesis is an attempt to analyse the position of woman in the Hassidic community based on two films of Israeli production. The main purpose is juxtapose and compare two different types and patterns of bevaviours of the main film characters, who must obey strict religious laws.
