Educational, career-related and family-related aspirations of high school students and their conditioning

Celem tej pracy jest zatem próba znalezienia odpowiedzi na pytanie, jakie aspiracje rodzinne, edukacyjne i zawodowe posiada młodzież licealna oraz jakie są uwarunkowania tychże aspiracji. Pragnę zgromadzić dane, które pomogą mi lepiej zrozumieć cele i dążenia młodych ludzi. Zamierzam także głębiej poznać wszelkie czynniki i determinanty wspomagające i ograniczające możliwości realizacji planów i marzeń uczniów. Podkreślona zostanie również zasadność pomocy młodzieży w podejmowaniu życiowych wyborów.Cała praca składa się z trzech rozdziałów. W pierwszym, w oparciu o literaturę przedstawiam definicję aspiracji, ich poziom, rodzaje, strukturę, dynamikę. Zwracam uwagę na uwarunkowania osobowościowe, środowiskowe i pedagogiczne wpływające na ambicje. Omawiam także sytuację dzisiejszej młodzieży w obszarze edukacji i rynku pracy. Poruszam kwestię zakładania rodziny oraz umieszczam dotychczasowe wyniki badań z omawianego zakresu.Rozdział drugi to zredagowane metodologiczne podstawy niezbędne w prowadzeniu badań własnych. Zawarłam tutaj wszelkie sformułowane problemy badawcze, zmienne, wskaźniki oraz krótką charakterystykę metod, które wykorzystałam w trakcie dociekań. Rozdział zakończony jest uwagami dotyczącymi organizacji i przebiegu badań.W rozdziale trzecim znajdują się wyniki moich badań sondażowych przeprowadzonych w liceum ogólnokształcącym, a także ich rzetelna analiza. Dowiaduję się między innymi, jakie aspiracje edukacyjno-zawodowe i rodzinne posiada młodzież, co je warunkuje, jak w ich realizacji pomagają rodzice, szkoła, rówieśnicy. Całość podsumowana jest ogólnymi wnioskami w zakończeniu opracowania.

The objective of this thesis is an attempt to find the answer to the question what family-related, educational and career-related aspirations high school students have and what these aspirations are conditioned by. I would like to collect the data, which will help me in better understanding of young people’s goals and desires. I am also going to get a deeper knowledge of any factors and determiners supporting and restricting the opportunities of making students’ plans and dreams come true. The validity of helping the youths in taking vital life decisions will also be emphasised.The whole thesis is composed of three chapters. In the first one based on literature I present the definition of aspirations, their level, kinds, structure, dynamics. I refer to conditioning in terms of personality, environment and schooling, which affects ambitions. I also discuss the situation of the contemporary youths in the area of education and job market and I handle the question of starting a family as well as introduce the results of the research in the discussed field.Chapter two features the methodological grounds necessary for carrying out own research. It is here that I present any specified research problems, variables, ratios and a short summary of the methods, which I made use of during the research. This chapter ends with remarks concerning the organisation and the course of the research.Chapter three presents the results of my survey conducted in a senior high school and their thorough analysis. I get to know among others what aspirations in terms of education, career and family are typical of the youths, what they are conditioned by and how their realisation is supported by parents, school, peers. It is all summed up with general conclusions at the end of the study.
