The nursing care of the patient after a multiple organ trauma - a case study

Wstęp: Rozwój komunikacji znacznie przyczynił się do wzrostu śmiertelności powypadkowej wśród młodych dorosłych między 18 a 45 rokiem życia. Mnogie obrażenia ciała, ze względu na swoją rozległość są stanem bezpośredniego zagrożenia życia i wymagają wysokospecjalistycznej opieki. Cel: Celem pracy było omówienie przypadku pacjenta, który w wyniku wypadku komunikacyjnego doznał urazu wielonarządowego oraz przedstawienie procesu jego pielęgnowania, opartego na teorii Dorothy Orem. Metody pracy: Pracę napisano wykorzystując metodę studium przypadku, posługując się dokumentacją medyczną oraz aktualnym piśmiennictwem naukowym. Wyniki i wnioski: Obserwacją objęto pacjenta hospitalizowanego przez okres 6 miesięcy, początkowo w oddziale intensywnej terapii a następnie w oddziale chirurgii ogólnej. W pracy zwrócono szczególną uwagę na problemy pacjenta związane z deficytem w zakresie samoopieki i samopielęgnacji, a także możliwość wystąpienia powikłań w przebiegu leczenia. W oparciu o przeprowadzony wywiad, wgląd w dokumentację medyczną i obserwację, opracowano 15 diagnoz pielęgniarskich wraz z planem interwencji, ich realizacją i oceną.

Introduction: The development of communication significantly contributed to the increase in post-mortem mortality among adults between the age of 18 and 45. Multiple injuries, due to their extent, are a state of immediate danger to life and require highly specialized care.Aim of the study: The aim of the work was to discuss the case of a patient who, as a result of a traffic accident, suffered a multiple organ injury and presented the process of taking care of him, based on Dorothy Orem theory.Material and methods: The work was written using the case study method, using medical documentation and current academic literature.Results and conclusions: The observation covered a patient who was hospitalized for 6 months, initially in the intensive care unit and then in the general surgery department. The work is focused on the patient's problems related to the deficit in self-care as well as the possibility of complications in the course of treatment. Based on the interview, an insight into medical documentation and observation, 15 nursing diagnoses were developed along with the intervention plan, their implementation and evaluation.
