Tłumaczenie dialektu w filmie „Jeszcze dalej niż północ” w kontekście teorii relewancji.

Dialect translation on the example of the movie "Bienvenue Chez les Ch'tis" in the context of the relevance theory.

Celem niniejszej pracy jest zbadanie zagadnienia tłumaczenia dialektu na przykładzie francuskiego filmu „Jeszcze dalej niż północ” w reżyserii Dany’ego Boona. Analiza została przeprowadzona na podstawie typologii strategii tłumaczniowych opracowanej przez L. Berezowskiego. Zbadano polski przekład dialektu pikardyjskiego przy zastosowaniu różnych strategii tłumaczeniowych. Ponadto przeanalizowano działanie strategii relewancji rozwiniętej przez E. Gutta w kontekście tłumaczenia audiowizualnego dla zbadania odbioru przez francuskich i polskich widzów. Powyższa obserwacja pozwoliła zdefiniować rolę warstwy językowej filmu i jej zależność od warstwy wizualnej.

The aim of this thesis is to analyze the issue of dialect translation on the example of the French movie “Bienvenue Chez les Ch’tis” directed by Dany Boon. The analysis was executed on the basis of? the typology of translation strategies elaborated by L. Berezowski. The main part of the work discusses the Polish translation of the French dialect called picard which was done using different translation strategies. What is more, the theory of relevance by E. Gutt was analyzed in the audiovisual context in order to observe and discuss French and Polish audience impressions. Also, the observation allowed to define the role of the linguistic part of the movie and its dependence on the visual part.

Ce mémoire a pour but d’étudier le problème de la traduction des dialectes à partir de l’exemple du film français « Bienvenue Chez les Ch’tis » dirigé par Dany Boon. L’analyse s’effectue grâce à la typologie des stratégies de traduction élaborée par L. Berezowski. Nous nous concentrons sur la traduction polonaise du dialecte picard qui peut s’effectuer en employant différentes stratégies de traduction. Nous étudions le fonctionnement de la théorie de pertinence développée par E. Gutt dans le contexte audiovisuel, en analysant les impressions du public français et polonais afin de définir le rôle du côté linguistique dans le film et sa dépendance de l’image.
